Mt. Pleasant
A short drive over the Cooper River Bridge from downtown Charleston is the Town of Mt. Pleasant. With a population over 42,000 the town could easily qualify as a city, but remains the Town of Mt. Pleasant. Ask any local that has been in Mt. Pleasant for long, and they would agree that this area has grown significantly in the last 10-15 years. With the opening of the Mark Clark Expressway (I-526), opportunities to expand have been considerable. New planned developments, shops, and restaurants have been the norm.

Further out, say 10 minutes, are a number of planned developments all along Hwy 17 and Hwy 41. These normally start in the 200’s and go up to the millions. These typically are planned family communities having schools, shops, restaurants, swimming pools- anything a growing family could possibly want.
